Bahnschrift Font Family is a sans-serif font developed by Microsoft that has been included in Windows 10 (Fall Creators Update, Build 16273) since fall 2017. It is based on the writing standard DIN 1451, which is used on traffic signs in Germany and the Czech Republic.
A special feature of the font is that the thickness can be edited almost continuously from thin (“light”) to bold (“bold”) and that changing the font does not shift the text, but only reduces the spacing between the letters .
